They said she was heartless, and they were right; For she placed her heart in someone else's hands. They say to bear a child is to have your heart walk forever outside your body. And her heart was now softly sleeping in another's arms, making family plans. So, indeed she is heartless, and she cries deeply once again. For she lost her heart and her dreams in one single stroke of gavel and pen. And she wonders, will she ever see her heart again? For her heart lives and breathes and moves and laughs in the sunshine, though she cannot see daily proof. She wonders if she can be even more a part of her heart's life, Or if she must forever stay aloof. She relys on reports from others that her heart is OK, becoming more beautiful and growing bigger everyday. And she may wonder if her heart is happy, though others tell her, it is so. Friends may call her to "move on" and wonder "why can't she let go?" So here she is heartless, though a heroine she has become to those she handed her heart to wrapped in a blanket and all her love.
