What’s it called when you see rain
Before it falls?
And what do they say,
About it bein’ impossible to climb an iron wall?
Why would you jump into puddles and get sloppy wet,
In a snowstorm in the summer,
Even though pigs can’t fly yet?
What’s it called when ya get the honey
from inside the beehive,
When you want sweetness, and don’t know why?
What’s it called when you see the purple
In the big, bright, blue sky;
When everyone else thinks you’re crazy?
It’s called bein’ happy.
What’s it called when you cry so hard
You start laughin’, and then you cry again?
What’s the word for sorrow turned hopeful,
And who drove the train that said, “I think I can?”
What’s it called when your spirit breaks and buckles,
But you get back up again, despite the struggle?
What’s that thing upon your face,
When you thought no one was lookin’?
And the laugh you let escape,
When ya thought no one was hearin’?
Oh … exactly;
It’s called, bein’ happy.
